Private transfers from Queen Alia International Airport
Queen Alia International Airport, Jordan's main gateway and the home of Royal Jordanian, lies in the desert at Zizya, 30 km south of Amman. That position helps: the Dead Sea, Madaba and the Desert Highway to Petra all start on the airport side of the city, so many visitors never drive through Amman at all.
We run fixed-price transfers to the Dead Sea resorts and Petra, and quote any address in Jordan, including Amman hotels, Madaba, Mount Nebo, Jerash and Wadi Rum. Your driver tracks your flight, waits past customs while you clear the visa queue, and loads the luggage once.
Arriving at Amman Airport: where to meet your driver
Queen Alia has one passenger terminal. Visitors who need a visa go to the visa counter first (Jordan Pass holders included), then passport control, baggage claim and customs. Your driver waits in the arrivals hall just past the customs exit, holding a sign with your name. The official taxi counter is also at the customs exit, with taxis and the Sariyah airport bus at the kerb outside.

Visas and the Jordan Pass
Visitors of many nationalities can buy a single-entry visa on arrival at Queen Alia, valid for one month; some nationalities must apply before travelling. The Jordan Pass, bought online before you fly, waives the visa fee if you stay at least two consecutive nights and includes entry to Petra and many other sites. Holders still go to the visa counter and should carry a printed copy. More in our Jordan transfer guide.
