Private Airport Transfers in Italy

Italy's most beautiful destinations are rarely next to its airports. Positano is an hour and a half from Naples Airport along one of the most famous and most demanding coast roads in the world. Bellagio is on a peninsula in the middle of Lake Como. Porto Cervo is at the northern tip of Sardinia. Getting there by train and bus means changes, stairs and timetables; a private transfer means one car, door to door.

We drive from Naples to Positano, Sorrento and Amalfi; from Rome Fiumicino into central Rome and to the cruise port at Civitavecchia; from Milan Malpensa to Lake Como; and from Olbia to Porto Cervo on the Costa Smeralda.

Many Italian historic centres are ZTLs (zone a traffico limitato), where only authorised vehicles may enter. Rome's centre is the best-known example. Amalfi Coast towns like Positano have steep, one-way roads and pedestrian lanes, and parts of Lake Como's shoreline are too narrow for large vehicles.

Our drivers take you to your hotel door wherever access is allowed, and to the nearest permitted drop-off where it isn't, usually a few steps from reception. Many hotels in these towns send a porter to meet the car. Tell us your hotel name and we will plan the drop-off in advance.

The Amalfi Coast, Lake Como and Sardinia are at their busiest from May to September, with a peak in July and August. Rome is busy from April to October and over Easter. On the coast, traffic rather than distance sets journey times in summer, so we build a buffer into every pickup time we recommend.
