Private transfer from Vancouver Airport to Whistler
Whistler Blackcomb is North America's largest ski resort, and the drive there from Vancouver International Airport is one of the most scenic anywhere: 136 km on the Sea-to-Sky Highway, with Howe Sound on one side and the Coast Mountains on the other.
It is also a mountain highway, and in winter that deserves respect. A private transfer puts you in a winter-equipped vehicle with an experienced driver, with room for everyone's skis and boot bags and no bus timetable to meet. The price is fixed per vehicle, so a family or a group of friends shares one fare.

The drive from YVR to Whistler
From the airport, your driver heads north through Vancouver, crosses the Lions Gate Bridge to the North Shore and joins Highway 99 at Horseshoe Bay. From there the Sea-to-Sky climbs along the cliffs above Howe Sound to Squamish, home of the Stawamus Chief granite dome, then turns inland through the mountains past Brandywine Falls to Whistler.
The drive takes about 2 hours in good conditions and 2½ hours or more in snow or on a busy Friday evening. Snow and ice are most likely north of Squamish, and winter tyres are required on Highway 99 from October 1 to April 30. Our vehicles have them. The highway sometimes closes briefly for accidents or avalanche control; if it does, we keep you updated.
Meeting your driver at Vancouver Airport
International passengers clear Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) inspection and collect their bags before entering the public arrivals area; domestic and US flights arrive in the same building. Your driver waits in the arrivals hall with a sign showing your name. We track your flight, so a long queue at the border kiosks is no problem.

Whistler Village
The main pedestrian village at the base of the Whistler Village Gondola, with most hotels a short walk from the lifts.

Creekside
The quieter original base area south of the village, with its own gondola. About 5 minutes before the main village.

When to book your Whistler transfer
Whistler's ski season usually runs from late November to April, with the busiest weeks over Christmas, New Year and in February. Winter transfers run on snow tyres, and we allow extra time on stormy days.
In summer, the Whistler Mountain Bike Park, hiking trails and events like Crankworx keep the resort busy, and the Sea-to-Sky is at its most beautiful. We run transfers all year.

- For your flight home in winter, leave Whistler about five hours before an international departure from YVR.
