Private transfer from New Chitose Airport to Niseko
Niseko is Japan's most famous ski destination, known worldwide for its light, deep powder, the "Japow" that falls almost every day through January and February. Its four linked resorts, Grand Hirafu, Hanazono, Niseko Village and Annupuri, sit on the slopes of Mount Niseko-Annupuri, with the perfect cone of Mount Yotei across the valley. The resort is about 125 km from New Chitose Airport.
By train, the trip means a change or two and a taxi at the end; by ski bus, a fixed timetable and stops at other hotels. A private transfer is one vehicle, loaded once at the airport, straight to your hotel or chalet, with space for everyone's skis and boards and one fixed price.

The drive from CTS to Niseko
Your driver takes one of two main routes, depending on the weather and traffic. The southern route runs past Lake Shikotsu, through Shikotsu-Tōya National Park and the farming towns around Kimobetsu, approaching Niseko past Mount Yotei. The other runs by the outskirts of Sapporo and over the Nakayama Pass on Route 230.
In normal winter conditions the drive takes 2 to 2½ hours. Heavy snowfall can make it longer, and our drivers take it steadily: Hokkaido's roads are well cleared, but snow and ice are part of every winter journey.
Meeting your driver at New Chitose Airport
International flights arrive at the international terminal, connected to the domestic terminal by an indoor walkway. After immigration, baggage reclaim and customs, your driver waits in the arrivals lobby holding a sign with your name. Connecting from a domestic flight via Tokyo? When to book your Niseko transfer
Niseko's ski season runs from early December to early April, with the deepest powder in January and February. Christmas, New Year and Chinese New Year are the busiest weeks, and many lodges book up months ahead. Transfer demand peaks on the same days, so request your quote early.
In summer, Niseko is a green, quiet destination for hiking, rafting, golf and onsen, and the drive through the national park is beautiful.

Local tips for your Niseko transfer
- Tell us how many ski and board bags you have, so we can send the right vehicle.
- Landing late in the evening? Many lodges have check-in cut-offs, so let them know your transfer arrival time.
- Winter nights in Hokkaido are cold. Keep a warm layer in your hand luggage for the walk from the car to your lodge.
- For your flight home, leave Niseko about four and a half hours before an international departure in winter.
