Private transfer from Bali Airport to Ubud
Ubud is Bali's cultural heart: rice terraces, temples, yoga studios, craft villages and jungle resorts above the Ayung River valley. It is 35 km inland from Bali Airport, but Bali's roads make that a drive of 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes.
That's long enough for comfort to matter. A private transfer gives you an air-conditioned car to yourselves, a driver who knows the quickest route on the day, and the option to stop at a waterfall, a rice terrace or a craft village on the way. One fixed price covers the whole vehicle.

The drive from DPS to Ubud
From the airport, your driver takes the Ngurah Rai bypass towards Sanur, then either the coastal bypass (Jalan Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Mantra) or the roads through Denpasar, before turning inland through the craft villages of Batubulan, Celuk and Mas to Ubud. The last part of the drive climbs gently through rice fields and villages, with temple gates at every turn.
Allow 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes. The slowest parts are the roads around the airport and Denpasar at the late-afternoon peak, and central Ubud itself, where the main streets are often congested.
Meeting your driver at Bali Airport
International flights arrive at the international terminal. After immigration (with your visa on arrival or e-VOA), baggage reclaim and customs, you walk out into a covered arrivals area lined with drivers holding signs. Your driver is among them with your name; we send the exact meeting point and their WhatsApp number before you fly.
You will be offered taxis and porters on the way out. A polite "no, thank you" is enough.

When to book your Ubud transfer
Ubud is a year-round destination. The dry season, from about April to October, is the most popular time, with July and August the busiest months. In the wet season, from November to March, the rice fields are at their greenest and the afternoon rain is often short and heavy.
Nyepi, Bali's Day of Silence, usually in March, closes the airport and the roads for 24 hours.

Local tips for your Ubud transfer
- Want to stop on the way? Tegenungan waterfall, the silversmiths of Celuk and the woodcarvers of Mas are all close to the route.
- Landing in the late afternoon? The first part of the drive will be slow; a dinner stop on the way can make it easier.
- Buy your e-VOA and pay the Bali tourist levy online before you fly.
- For your flight home, leave Ubud about four hours before an international departure.
