Driving, tolls and the city centre
Ireland drives on the left. Around Dublin, the Port Tunnel and the M50 between junctions 6 and 7 are tolled, and the M50 toll is collected by camera, with no barriers. Both are included in your fixed price, along with fuel, parking and waiting time.
In the city centre, some turns on the quays near O'Connell Bridge are reserved for public transport from 07:00 to 19:00, and Grafton Street and the lanes of Temple Bar are pedestrian. Your driver plans the route to your door.
When to travel
Summer, from June to August, is the busiest season, with the longest days. St Patrick's Day on 17 March fills Dublin, and rugby internationals at the Aviva Stadium, including Ireland v England on 5 February 2027 and Ireland v France on 13 March 2027, bring thousands of visitors.
