Private transfers across Czechia
Most visitors to Czechia land at Prague Airport, on the western edge of the capital. With no railway to the terminals yet, the journey into the city is by bus and metro, taxi or a car booked in advance, and the Old Town's pedestrian lanes make the last few hundred metres the tricky part.
Our Prague Airport to Old Town transfer takes about 25 minutes, to your door or to the nearest street the car can reach. We also quote any address in Czechia: Karlštejn Castle, the old silver town of Kutná Hora, the spa towns of Karlovy Vary and Mariánské Lázně, Český Krumlov in South Bohemia, and onward to Dresden, Vienna or Budapest. One fixed price covers the whole vehicle, so families and groups share it.
Roads and the historic centre
Czech motorways need an electronic vignette for cars and vans, and it is included in your fixed price along with fuel, parking and waiting time.
In Prague, Old Town Square, Charles Bridge and many lanes in the historic centre are pedestrian, and since 2024 a group of Old Town streets around Dlouhá and Pařížská closes to most vehicles from 22:00 to 06:00. Your driver plans the closest legal stop to your hotel, which is usually at the door or a short walk away.
When to travel
Prague is busy from Easter to October and again in December, when the Christmas market fills Old Town Square from late November to 6 January. Spring brings the Prague Marathon, on 2 May 2027, and the Prague Spring music festival, which traditionally opens on 12 May. Winters are cold, so allow extra time for longer drives into the countryside.
Beyond Prague
From Prague Airport, Karlštejn Castle is about 40 minutes by road, Kutná Hora and Karlovy Vary each about an hour and a half, and Český Krumlov about two and a half hours. A private car lets you add a sightseeing stop to a transfer, with your luggage kept in the car while you visit.
