Private transfers from Naples International Airport
Naples International Airport, known locally as Capodichino, is the gateway to the Amalfi Coast, the Sorrento Peninsula, Pompeii and the islands of Capri and Ischia. It sits inside the city, so you are on the motorway south within minutes of leaving the terminal.
From there the roads get more interesting. The last stretch to Positano and Amalfi follows the Amalfi Drive, a narrow cliffside road that is spectacular to look at and demanding to drive, especially in summer. Sorrento is easier, along the coast of the Bay of Naples. On every route, a private transfer means your luggage goes in the boot once and comes out at your hotel.
Arriving at Naples Airport: where to meet your driver
Naples Airport has one passenger terminal, with arrivals on the ground floor. After baggage reclaim, walk out into the arrivals hall, where your driver waits holding a sign with your name. The car is parked a short walk from the terminal exit.
Transfer times from Naples Airport
- Naples port (Molo Beverello, for Capri and Ischia ferries): 20–30 minutes
- Pompeii: about 30 minutes
- Sorrento: 1 hour – 1 hour 15 minutes
- Positano: 1 hour 15 minutes – 1 hour 45 minutes
- Amalfi and Ravello: 1 hour 15 minutes – 1 hour 45 minutes
- Rome: about 2 hours 30 minutes
Summer traffic on the Amalfi Coast can add 30 minutes or more around midday. We recommend landing times and return pickups that avoid the worst of it.

Heading to the islands? We'll drive you to the right ferry pier in Naples or Sorrento, timed to your sailing. Capri ferries leave from both Naples (Molo Beverello) and Sorrento's Marina Piccola; from Sorrento the crossing is shorter.
