Hamad International opened in 2014 and is the home of Qatar Airways. It sits on the eastern edge of Doha, close to the city: Souq Waqif and the Museum of Islamic Art are about 20 minutes away, and the towers of West Bay about 25.

Arriving at Doha Airport: where to meet your driver
Hamad International has one passenger terminal, so there is a single arrivals hall. After passport control, baggage reclaim and customs, walk out into the Arrivals Hall, where your driver waits holding a sign with your name. The driver then walks you out through the arrival gates to the car, parked across the service road; the airport's multi-level car park sits directly opposite the exits.
