The problem is not distance: it is that Mykonos has only a few dozen licensed taxis for hundreds of thousands of summer visitors. When two or three flights land together, the taxi queue can take longer than the drive.

Arriving at Mykonos Airport: where to meet your driver
Mykonos Airport has one small terminal. You'll usually walk or take a short bus ride from the plane, collect your bags in a single hall and step straight outside. In peak season that hall is crowded, so we make sure your driver is already there: they wait just outside the arrivals exit with a sign showing your name.
