Arriving at Athens Airport: where to meet your driver
Athens Airport has one main terminal building. Passengers from outside the Schengen area pass through passport control, then everyone collects their bags and exits into the same arrivals hall on the ground floor. Your driver waits at the arrivals exit holding a sign with your name.

- Rafina port: 20–25 minutes
- Lavrio port: about 35 minutes
- Athens city centre (Syntagma, Plaka, Kolonaki): 35–50 minutes
- Vouliagmeni and the Athens Riviera: 35–45 minutes
- Piraeus port: 45–60 minutes
- Cape Sounion: about 50 minutes
- Nafplio: about 2 hours
- Delphi: about 2 hours 45 minutes
Piraeus, Rafina or Lavrio?
Piraeus is Greece's main port, with ferries to most islands and nearly all cruise ships. But if you're heading to Mykonos, Tinos, Andros or some other Cyclades islands, check whether your ferry leaves from Rafina: it is much closer to the airport than Piraeus. Lavrio serves some northern Cyclades routes, and Kea. Tell us your ferry and we'll take you to the right port and gate.
