Private transfers from O.R. Tambo International Airport
O.R. Tambo International sits in Kempton Park, east of Johannesburg, with international flights at Terminal A and domestic flights at Terminal B. Most business visitors head for Sandton, about 26 km away, and plenty of travellers spend a night in the city before a safari or a connecting flight.
We run fixed-price transfers from the arrivals hall to any address in Gauteng and beyond: Rosebank, Melrose Arch, the Johannesburg city centre, Soweto, Pretoria, Hartbeespoort and Sun City. The Gautrain is quick to Sandton for light travellers near the station; a car makes sense for late arrivals, groups with luggage and addresses away from the line.
Arriving at Johannesburg Airport: where to meet your driver
International flights arrive at Terminal A and domestic flights at Terminal B, linked by the Central Terminal Building, with the Gautrain station above its departures level. Your driver waits in the arrivals hall of your terminal holding a sign with your name, then walks you to the car in the nearby parking area. The airport accredits official taxi services to curb touting, so turn down unsolicited offers of a ride.

Gautrain or a car?
The Gautrain's airport line reaches Sandton in about 15 minutes, every 10 minutes at weekday peaks and every 20 off-peak, with published service hours of 05:30 to 20:30. It is hard to beat in rush hour with light luggage. A car is simpler after a late landing, for families and teams, and for hotels in Rosebank, Melrose Arch, Bryanston or Pretoria's suburbs, where the train still leaves you a ride short. Gauteng's e-tolls were switched off in April 2024.
