Private transfers from Cape Town International Airport
Cape Town International is about 20 km east of the city centre, on the Cape Flats, with domestic and international flights under one roof in the Central Terminal Building. Almost everyone is heading somewhere else: the hotels of the V&A Waterfront and the city bowl, the beaches of Camps Bay and Sea Point, or the wine country around Stellenbosch and Franschhoek.
We run fixed-price transfers from the arrivals hall to any address in the Western Cape, from Constantia and Simon's Town to Paarl and Hermanus. Public transport from the airport is limited, and the MyCiTi airport bus is listed as temporarily suspended, so a car booked before you fly is the simplest way to start the trip.
Arriving at Cape Town Airport: where to meet your driver
Cape Town International has one Central Terminal Building, with domestic and international arrivals both on the ground floor. Your driver waits in the arrivals hall on your side of the terminal, holding a sign with your name, then walks you to the car in the airport parkades a few minutes away. App-based taxis use a separate pickup area in Parkade 2. The airport asks passengers not to accept rides from unsolicited drivers in the hall.

Main roads to and from the airport
The UK Foreign Office advises travellers to stay on the N2 and M3 rather than the R300 when travelling to and from Cape Town airport, and to use Airport Approach Road (exit 16 on the N2) rather than Borcherd's Quarry Road. The routes described on our Cape Town pages follow that advice. Weekday mornings are the slowest time to drive into the city, and weekday afternoons the slowest time to drive back out.
