Private transfers from Keflavík International Airport
Keflavík International Airport handles almost all international flights to Iceland. It sits near the tip of the Reykjanes peninsula, beside the town of Reykjanesbær and about 50 km from Reykjavík, so every arrival starts with a drive along Route 41 through the lava fields.
We run fixed-price transfers to Reykjavík, about 45 minutes away, and to the Blue Lagoon, 25 minutes south of the terminal, including a stop at the lagoon on your way into the city. We also quote any address in the capital area and beyond: Hafnarfjörður, the Skarfabakki cruise terminal, the domestic airport in Reykjavík, Þingvellir and the Golden Circle. Your driver tracks your flight, waits in arrivals and knows the road in all weathers.
Arriving at Keflavík Airport: where to meet your driver
Keflavík Airport has one terminal building. After baggage reclaim and customs, walk out into the arrivals hall, where your driver waits holding a sign with your name. The car is parked in P2, the short-term car park on the arrivals side, about 30 metres from the doors. The Flybus and the taxi rank are directly outside arrivals too.

Weather and the Reykjanes eruptions
Route 41 between the airport and Reykjavík is a dual carriageway, but it crosses open lava fields and is exposed to Atlantic storms. In severe wind or snow the road authority can close it, as happened in December 2022. If that happens, nobody drives until it reopens, and we keep you updated on WhatsApp. Road status is on umferdin.is.
Since late 2023 a series of eruptions on the Sundhnúkur crater row near Grindavík, about 20 km south-east of the airport, has affected the roads around the Blue Lagoon. On 30 September 2026 the Icelandic Met Office said another eruption remains the most likely scenario. Check safetravel.is before you fly.
