Private transfers from Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport
Puerto Vallarta's international airport sits on the north side of the city, just north of Marina Vallarta and a couple of minutes from the Ameca River, the state line with Nayarit. That puts it between two holidays: the old town, the Zona Romántica and the beaches south of the city in Jalisco, and the Riviera Nayarit resorts that run north around the Bay of Banderas, from Nuevo Vallarta and Bucerías to Punta Mita and Sayulita.
We run fixed-price transfers to Punta Mita, and quote any address around the bay, from downtown hotels and hillside villas to the beach towns north of the peninsula. With a booked car you walk past the sales desks in arrivals, and one price covers the whole vehicle.
Arriving at Puerto Vallarta Airport: where to meet your driver
Puerto Vallarta has one main passenger terminal, with a domestic concourse and an international one; a new terminal has been under construction, so we check where your flight arrives. After immigration and customs you pass through a hall of timeshare, tour and transport sellers. Walk straight through without stopping and out of the building, where your driver waits with a sign showing your name. We send the driver's name and WhatsApp number before you fly.

Jalisco or Nayarit?
The airport and the city are in Jalisco. Cross the Ameca River just north of the terminal and you are in Nayarit, where Nuevo Vallarta, Bucerías, Punta Mita and Sayulita all sit in the municipality of Bahía de Banderas. That municipality keeps Central time, the same as Puerto Vallarta, while most of the rest of Nayarit is an hour behind. Check that your phone shows Mexico City time before you book tours.
