The drive from DXB to Dubai Marina & JBR
From the airport, your driver crosses the Creek and takes Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) south-west through the city, past Downtown Dubai, Al Quoz and Al Barsha, to Dubai Marina, turning off towards the sea at the Marina interchanges. For JBR and Bluewaters, the route continues to The Walk and the causeway to the island.
The drive takes 30 to 45 minutes. Weekday rush hours, roughly 7 to 9am and 5 to 8pm, and weekend evenings around JBR are the slowest times.
Meeting your driver at Dubai Airport
Emirates flights arrive at Terminal 3, most other international airlines at Terminal 1, and flydubai and some regional carriers at Terminal 2. After immigration and baggage reclaim, go through customs into the arrivals hall. Your driver waits there holding a sign with your name and walks you to the car park, a short walk from the arrivals exit.

October to April is peak season in Dubai, with warm, sunny weather and events like the Dubai Shopping Festival and New Year's Eve. Summer is extremely hot, which makes door-to-door transport even more valuable. Dubai Marina and JBR are busiest on Friday and Saturday evenings.
