Ibiza airport to San Antonio, door to door
Sant Antoni de Portmany, San Antonio to most visitors, is Ibiza's second-largest town, set on a wide bay on the west coast that is famous for its sunsets. A private transfer from Ibiza airport to San Antonio covers the 22 km in about 25 minutes: your driver meets you in arrivals at Ibiza Airport and drives you across the island to your door.
The seasonal AERO1 bus links the airport with Sant Antoni via Sant Josep, and for one or two people with a backpack it is good value. The catch is summer evenings, when several flights land together and the taxi queue outside arrivals can be long. A booked car means walking straight out to a driver who already has your address, and one fixed price for the vehicle, which suits a group of friends as well as a family.

The drive from IBZ to San Antonio
From the terminal, your driver heads north past the village of Sant Jordi to the EI-20, the ring road round Ibiza Town, and then turns west onto the EI-600, the main road across the island to Sant Antoni. That is the line on the diagram: about 22 km.
The road crosses the island's farmland to Sant Rafel, where the superclub Amnesia sits beside kilometre 5 of the Ibiza to San Antonio road. From there it runs down towards the bay and enters town along Avinguda de Portmany, a few minutes from the harbour. Hotels on the south side of the bay are reached by turning off before the town centre.
In normal traffic the trip takes about 25 minutes. In July and August the ring road and the approach into Sant Antoni can be slow in the late afternoon and early evening, and the drive can take 40 minutes. Late-night and early-morning arrivals usually have a clearer run.
Inside town, the streets around the West End are narrow, one-way and crowded at night, and parts of the seafront are for walking only. Your driver takes you to the hotel door where the street allows, or to the nearest open corner. Hotels on the south side of the bay, in Cala de Bou and Port des Torrent, and villas in the hills behind town are door to door; send a map pin for private houses.

Meeting your driver at Ibiza Airport
Ibiza Airport has one terminal. After baggage reclaim, go out into the arrivals hall, where your driver waits holding a sign with your name. Your car is parked separately from the taxi rank, so you won't join the queue.
Ibiza Airport has one terminal. After baggage reclaim, walk into the arrivals hall, where your driver waits holding a sign with your name. The car is parked away from the taxi rank, so you do not join the queue. You get the driver’s name and number before the trip, so you can message from the baggage hall.
Add your flight number when you book and we track it: the pickup moves with delays at no extra cost, and your 60 minutes of free waiting start when you actually land. For the trip home, your driver collects you from your hotel or villa and waits up to 15 minutes from the agreed time, so be ready, especially after a late night.

Where we drop off in San Antonio
Most hotels and apartments in and around Sant Antoni are door to door. The exceptions are the narrow lanes of the West End and the pedestrian seafront, where the car stops at the nearest open street. For villas, send a map pin and the name of whoever has the keys.
The West End and town centre
The lanes around Carrer de Santa Agnès, packed with bars and busy late into the night. Drop-off at the closest open street to your hotel.
The harbour and Passeig de ses Fonts
The promenade along the harbour, where the beach boats leave. Hotels and apartments behind it are a short walk from the car.
The Sunset Strip
The rocky shore on the north side of town, home of Café del Mar and Café Mambo. Hotels and apartments nearby are a few minutes from the centre.
Cala de Bou and Port des Torrent
Large resort hotels on the south side of the bay, quieter than town, about 23 km from the airport. Easy door-to-door drop-offs.
Cala Gració, Cala Salada and the hills
Small coves just north of town and villas in the countryside behind it, about 24 to 25 km from the airport. Send a map pin.

When to book your San Antonio transfer
San Antonio's season runs from about May to October, with June to September the busiest months. The club season usually opens in late May and closes in early October, with opening and closing parties at either end. In July and August, evening landings meet the longest taxi queues at the airport, which is when a booked car helps most. If you can choose your flight, a morning or early-afternoon landing usually means a quieter terminal and a clearer road across the island.
The biggest local festival is Sant Bartomeu, the town's patron saint, on 24 August, celebrated with a fireworks display over the bay. The harbour promenade at Passeig de ses Fonts is the classic place to watch it; expect busy streets in the centre that evening.
From May to late September or October, boats leave the harbour every day for the beaches around the bay. Out of season the town is much quieter, many hotels and bars close, and the AERO1 airport bus runs only from the spring, so a booked car is the simplest way in.
Private transfer vs other ways to reach San Antonio
| Option | Door to door | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Private transfer | 25–40 min | Straight to your door, fixed price per vehicle, driver waiting in arrivals. |
| AERO1 bus | 40–50 minutes + walk | The seasonal airport line via Sant Josep to Sant Antoni bus station, running from 1 April in 2026. Good value for light travellers; you walk or take a taxi from the station. |
| Airport taxi | 25–40 minutes | Metered taxis from the rank outside arrivals. Fine off-peak, but on summer evenings, when several flights land at once, the queue can be long. Larger groups need more than one cab. |
| Rental car or scooter | 25–40 minutes plus pick-up | Handy for exploring the west coast coves. Parking near the bay is limited in summer, and a car is little use for nights out in town. |

Vehicles, prices and what's included
You pay one fixed price for the vehicle, not per seat, quoted for your date and group before you book. Tolls, fuel and parking are in the price, and so is waiting time: 60 minutes from your actual landing, or 15 minutes at a hotel or address pickup.
| Vehicle | Passengers | Luggage | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard sedan | Up to 3 passengers | 2–3 suitcases | Couples and solo travellers |
| Executive sedan | Up to 3 passengers | 2–3 suitcases | Mercedes E-Class or similar |
| Minivan | Up to 7 passengers | 6–7 suitcases | Families and golf or ski bags |
| Minibus | 8–16 passengers | One suitcase each | Groups, weddings, events |
Exact models vary by local partner. Tell us about oversized luggage, golf bags, skis or strollers and we will size the vehicle to fit.
Not included: waiting beyond the free time, and stops or detours added on the day. Planned stops are fine: ask for them with your quote and they are priced in. Tipping is up to you.
Who the San Antonio transfer suits
Groups of friends
A minibus takes 8 to 16 people with luggage, so the whole group leaves the airport together at one price instead of queuing for several taxis.
Families on the bay
Child seats fitted before pickup and a direct ride to the quieter hotels of Cala de Bou and Port des Torrent. Tell us the children’s ages.
Late and early flights
Flight tracking and 60 minutes of free waiting for late landings, and a fixed pickup time for early departures, at any hour.
Villa guests
Countryside villas behind Sant Antoni can be hard to find at night. Share a map pin and the driver takes you to the gate.
Plan the rest of your San Antonio stay
- The Sunset Strip bars fill up well before sunset in July and August. Arrive early or book a table if you want a seat facing the sea.
- Beach boats leave the harbour daily in season for the coves around the bay. They are often quicker and more relaxing than the roads in August.
- Heading to the clubs? The Discobus night service links the main towns in season, so you do not need a car for nights out.
- Ibiza Town and Dalt Vila are about 25 minutes away. Formentera ferries leave from Ibiza Town’s port, and we quote the run from your hotel.
- Island hopping after Ibiza? We also cover Mallorca, such as Palma Airport to Alcúdia, and other airport routes across Spain.
- For the flight home, leave San Antonio about two and a quarter hours before a European departure. Add 30 minutes in July and August.
