Your LAX to Disneyland transfer, door to door
The Disneyland Resort is in Anaheim, Orange County, about 53 km (33 miles) south-east of the airport. A private LAX to Disneyland transfer takes about 50 minutes with clear freeways and up to an hour and 40 minutes in weekday rush hour. Your driver meets you at Los Angeles International Airport, with any child seats already fitted, and drives you to your hotel entrance.
There is no direct train or airport bus from LAX to the resort. Public transport means a bus to Union Station and a train to Anaheim, with two changes and the luggage. App rides and most taxis are picked up at the LAX-it lot, a walk or a shuttle ride from the terminals, and a car big enough for a family's cases and a pushchair is not guaranteed.
With a private transfer, the price is fixed for the whole vehicle, so a family of five pays the same as a couple. Staying in Los Angeles first? We also quote LAX to Beverly Hills and hotel-to-hotel rides down to Anaheim.

The drive from LAX to Disneyland
From the airport, your driver usually takes the I-105 (Century Freeway) east, straight across the southern half of Los Angeles County through Hawthorne, Lynwood and Downey to Norwalk, where the freeway ends. From there the route links across to the I-5 (Santa Ana Freeway), which runs south-east through Buena Park into Anaheim. Your driver leaves the freeway for Harbor Boulevard or Disneyland Drive, depending on your hotel: about 53 km (33 miles) in all.
When the 105 is blocked, the alternatives are the I-405 south towards Long Beach and then the 22 or 91 freeways east. There are no tolls on the usual route, and if your driver uses a toll road or express lane to save time, the toll is included.
Traffic decides the time far more than distance. With clear roads, late at night or on a weekend morning, it takes about 50 minutes. On weekday afternoons from about 3pm to 7pm, the I-5 through north Orange County is at its slowest, and the trip can take an hour and 40 minutes. Holiday weekends and Friday afternoons are reliably heavy in both directions.
The drive is mostly freeway through suburbs, so there is not much to see until the end, when the hotel towers along Harbor Boulevard appear. For children who have been travelling all day, the useful thing is that nobody has to change vehicle: car seats are fitted before you board, and the bags stay in the back until the hotel.

Meeting your driver at LAX
LAX has nine terminals, Terminals 1 to 8 and the Tom Bradley International Terminal, around a horseshoe road with departures on the upper level and arrivals below. Limousines, town cars and private vehicles still pick up at the terminals, on the outer kerb of the lower (arrivals) level outside baggage claim. Your driver messages you when you land and meets you at baggage claim or at the kerb, as agreed. You receive the meeting point and the driver's phone number in advance.
LAX has nine terminals on a one-way horseshoe road, Terminals 1 to 8 and the Tom Bradley International Terminal. App rides and most taxis leave from the LAX-it lot, but limousines, town cars and private vehicles still pick up at the terminals. Your driver messages you when you land and meets you at baggage claim or on the outer kerb of the lower (arrivals) level, as agreed in advance, so nobody walks to LAX-it with a pushchair and cases.
Add your flight number and we track it: the pickup moves with delays at no extra cost, and 60 minutes of free waiting start when you actually land. For the trip back, your driver collects you from your Anaheim hotel and waits up to 15 minutes from the agreed time.

Where we drop off at the Disneyland Resort
Hotels get door-to-door service. For the parks, Disney has two official drop-off areas, on Harbor Boulevard and in the Downtown Disney District, with a 15-minute grace period before parking charges apply. That is plenty of time to unload, and any parking charge is included in your price. Tell us your hotel or which drop-off you prefer.
Disneyland Resort hotels
The Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and the Pixar Place Hotel, each a short walk from the parks. Drop-off at the hotel entrance.
Harbor Boulevard drop-off
Entered from the right-hand southbound lane of Harbor Boulevard between Manchester Avenue and Disney Way, a short walk from the main entrance plaza between the two parks.
Downtown Disney District
Reached via Magic Way from Disneyland Drive, then left at Downtown Drive. Handy for the Disney hotels and the shops and restaurants of Downtown Disney.
Harbor Boulevard and Katella Avenue hotels
The many hotels lining these two roads, several within walking distance of the parks. Your driver drops you at the lobby rather than on the street.
Anaheim Convention Center and GardenWalk
Next to the resort on Katella Avenue, with its own hotels. Convenient if you are combining a conference with a few days in the parks.

When to book your Disneyland transfer
The Disneyland Resort is busy all year, and the crowds follow the school calendar: spring break in March and April, the summer holidays from June to August, Thanksgiving week and, above all, Christmas to New Year. Holidays at the Disneyland Resort runs from 13 November 2026 to 6 January 2027, and the hotels around the parks fill early for those weeks.
Anaheim is warmer than the coast, and summer afternoons are often hot, which is worth remembering before a long queue at a taxi rank with tired children. Winter is mild, with most of the year's rain.
The freeways matter more than the season. Landing between about 10am and 2pm, or in the evening after 7pm, usually avoids the worst of the I-5. On the first day, most families find it easier to check in, swim and save the parks for the next morning. We track your flight, so the pickup moves with any delay at no extra cost.
Private transfer vs other ways to reach Disneyland
| Option | Door to door | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Private transfer | 50 min – 1h 40min | Straight to your door, fixed price per vehicle, driver waiting in arrivals. |
| FlyAway bus + train | 2½–3 hours | FlyAway bus to Union Station, then a Metrolink or Amtrak Pacific Surfliner train to Anaheim’s ARTIC station and a taxi or bus to the resort. Two changes with luggage and children. |
| App ride (Uber, Lyft) | 1–2 hours including LAX-it | Picked up only at the LAX-it lot, after the shuttle or the walk. Prices change with demand, and a vehicle with room for a family’s cases, a pushchair and car seats is not guaranteed. |
| Taxi | 1–2 hours including the queue | From the LAX-it lot, Parking Structure 3 or beyond Terminal 7, metered for the whole distance. You queue at the rank with your bags, and taxis do not come with child seats fitted for you. |
| Rental car | 1–1¾ hours + collection | Flexible for day trips, but you drive the I-105 and I-5 yourself after the flight, and Disney theme park parking and hotel parking are charged daily. |

Vehicles, prices and what's included
You pay one fixed price for the vehicle, not per seat, quoted for your date and group before you book. Tolls, fuel and parking are in the price, and so is waiting time: 60 minutes from your actual landing, or 15 minutes at a hotel or address pickup.
| Vehicle | Passengers | Luggage | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard sedan | Up to 3 passengers | 2–3 suitcases | Couples and solo travellers |
| Executive sedan | Up to 3 passengers | 2–3 suitcases | Mercedes E-Class or similar |
| Minivan | Up to 7 passengers | 6–7 suitcases | Families and golf or ski bags |
| Minibus | 8–16 passengers | One suitcase each | Groups, weddings, events |
Exact models vary by local partner. Tell us about oversized luggage, golf bags, skis or strollers and we will size the vehicle to fit.
Not included: waiting beyond the free time, and stops or detours added on the day. Planned stops are fine: ask for them with your quote and they are priced in. Tipping is up to you.
Who the Disneyland transfer suits
Families with young children
Tell us each child’s age and we fit the right seat or booster before pickup. The pushchair and cases go in the back, and nobody changes vehicle until the hotel.
Grandparents and larger groups
A minivan takes up to seven people and a minibus 8 to 16, so a multi-generation group travels together for one fixed price instead of splitting across taxis.
Convention visitors
The Anaheim Convention Center sits next to the resort. Get dropped at your hotel or the convention halls, and book the return for when the show closes.
Long-haul arrivals
After a long flight into Tom Bradley, an hour or more on the freeway is easier with a driver who has already loaded the bags and knows the hotel entrance.
Plan the rest of your Disneyland trip
- Tell us each child’s age when you book, so the right car seat or booster is fitted before your driver collects you.
- Hotel rooms are usually ready in the afternoon. If you land early, ask your hotel to hold the bags and spend the first hours in Downtown Disney rather than in the parks.
- Want groceries, water or nappies for the room? A supermarket stop on the way is easy to add to your quote as a planned stop.
- Combining Disneyland with Universal Studios Hollywood or a few days in the city? We quote hotel-to-hotel transfers across Los Angeles and Orange County.
- Collecting Disney resorts? See our transfers from Orlando airport to Walt Disney World and from Paris CDG to Disneyland Paris.
- For your flight home, leave Anaheim about three and a half hours before an international departure from LAX and three hours before a domestic one. On weekday afternoons, add another half hour.
