Private transfers from Jackson Hole Airport
Jackson Hole Airport is the only commercial airport in the United States inside a national park. Its single runway lies in Grand Teton National Park, about seven miles north of the town of Jackson, with the Teton Range rising across the valley. Year-round and seasonal flights link it with hubs across the US, and winter brings extra ski-season routes.
We run fixed-price transfers from the airport to Teton Village, the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, and quote any address in the valley: hotels in Jackson, homes in Wilson and along WY-390, lodges inside the national park in summer, and Grand Targhee over Teton Pass. Tell us about your ski bags and we send a vehicle with room for them. The price is for the whole vehicle and includes waiting time, so a snowy landing does not change what you pay.
Arriving at Jackson Hole Airport: where to meet your driver
Jackson Hole Airport has one small terminal with a single baggage hall. Your driver waits in the baggage claim area with a sign showing your name, then walks you to the car a short distance from the door. If you need a landmark, the Information Desk sits across from baggage carousel two.
Transfer times from Jackson Hole Airport
- Moose (Grand Teton park headquarters): 10–15 minutes
- Town of Jackson: 15–25 minutes
- Snow King: 20–30 minutes
- Wilson: 30–40 minutes
- Teton Village: 40–60 minutes
- Jackson Lake Lodge (summer): 45–60 minutes
- Grand Targhee: 1 hour 30 minutes – 2 hours
Times are for normal conditions. Snow, summer traffic in town and the lower night-time speed limit in the park can add time.
Driving in a national park
The roads from the airport cross Grand Teton National Park, and the airport asks drivers to keep to a 45 mph speed limit in the park during evening hours because wildlife crosses often. From 1 November to 15 April, the Town of Jackson also bans parking on public streets from 3am to 7am for snow clearing, one reason many winter visitors manage without a hire car.
