Harry Reid International, still known to many travellers by its old name, McCarran, sits just south-east of the Strip: the nearest resorts are about 5 km away. Taxis wait outside baggage claim and app rides go from the parking garages, but on convention weeks and Friday evenings the queues for both can be long.

With a pre-booked car, your driver meets you in baggage claim and takes you to the right entrance of your resort, convention hall or home. Arriving at Las Vegas Airport: where to meet your driver

If you have arranged a car in advance, your driver meets you in baggage claim, as the airport itself advises for pre-booked car services, holding a sign with your name. The pickup area for limousines and cars is on the west side of baggage claim outside doors 7–10 at Terminal 1, and on Level Zero at either end of the building at Terminal 3. A free shuttle links the two terminals.

Event weeks in Las Vegas

A handful of events fill the city and slow its roads. CES takes over the convention halls from 6 to 9 January 2027. The Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix runs from 19 to 21 November 2026 on a street circuit past Caesars Palace, the Bellagio and the Venetian, with evening road closures through race week. December brings the National Finals Rodeo. On these dates, book early and allow extra time for the return to the airport.

Where will my driver meet me at Las Vegas Airport?

In baggage claim, with a sign showing your name. The driver then walks you to the limousine and car pickup area outside Terminal 1 doors 7–10, or on Level Zero at Terminal 3.

How long does it take to reach the Strip?

About 15 minutes with light traffic and 30 to 35 minutes at busy times. See Las Vegas airport to the Strip.

Which terminal will I arrive at?

Terminal 1 or Terminal 3; there is no Terminal 2. Most international flights use Terminal 3. We track your flight, so your driver waits at the right one.

Can you take us to the Hoover Dam or Red Rock Canyon?

Yes. Red Rock Canyon is about 35 to 50 minutes from the airport and the Hoover Dam 50 to 70 minutes. Ask for a quote from the airport or from your hotel.
