JFK has several terminals, with new Terminal One and Terminal 6 opening in phases as older terminals close; we check your airline's terminal before you land. After passport control and baggage claim, your driver meets you inside the terminal, at baggage claim, holding a sign with your name. We send the exact meeting point and your driver's phone number in advance.
Your driver then walks you to the car in the terminal's parking area. You won't need to find a rideshare pickup zone or queue at the taxi stand.
JFK traffic: what to expect
JFK to Midtown Manhattan is about 29 km. At night it can take 40 minutes; on a weekday afternoon or a Friday evening, 75 minutes or more. Routes run via the Van Wyck Expressway and either the Long Island Expressway to the Queens-Midtown Tunnel, the Grand Central Parkway to the RFK Bridge, or the Belt Parkway to Brooklyn and downtown. Your driver picks the fastest one on the day.
