Incheon International Airport (ICN)
Yeongjong Island, Incheon
Private transfers across South Korea
Most visitors to South Korea arrive at Incheon International Airport, on Yeongjong Island west of Seoul. The capital is about an hour away by road, and its hotels spread along both banks of the Han River, from the old palace district north of the river to Gangnam and Jamsil in the south.
Korea's public transport is excellent, and the AREX airport railway is a quick way to Seoul Station for light travellers. A private transfer makes sense when you arrive with heavy luggage, children or a group, land late in the evening, or stay in a district that is a change or two from the station. Our Incheon Airport to Seoul transfer goes door to door, with one fixed price for the whole vehicle.
Combining Korea with Japan? We also drive from Tokyo's Haneda Airport and from Kansai Airport to Kyoto; see our Japan transfers.
Driving and road rules
Korea drives on the right. Expressways are tolled and mostly paid electronically, and the routes from Incheon Airport, over the Yeongjong and Incheon bridges, are privately run toll roads. All tolls are included in our prices.
Seoul has bus-only lanes down the middle of many main roads and dense speed-camera coverage, which is one reason few visitors rent a car for the city. Those who do drive need an International Driving Permit.
Best time to travel
Spring (April to May) and autumn (September to November) are the most comfortable seasons, with cherry blossom in early April and autumn leaves from late October. Summer is hot and humid, with the monsoon usually from late June through July, and winters are cold and dry.
The Seollal (Lunar New Year) and Chuseok holidays are the busiest travel days of the year, when flights fill and the roads out of Seoul jam. Book transfers early for those dates.
Getting around Korea
KTX high-speed trains link Seoul with Busan, Gyeongju and other cities, and domestic flights to Jeju and Busan leave from Gimpo Airport, about 45 minutes from Incheon by car. Seoul's subway is extensive and signed in English. We quote transfers between Incheon and Gimpo, and from Seoul hotels to either airport.

South Korea airport transfers: your questions
How long does it take from Incheon Airport to Seoul?
About an hour to central Seoul or Gangnam in light traffic, and up to 1 hour 40 minutes in the evening rush. See Incheon Airport to Seoul.
Are tolls included in the price?
Yes. Expressway and bridge tolls, fuel, parking and waiting time are all included in your fixed price.
Do I need my hotel address in Korean?
It helps. Send us the address in Korean, or a map pin, when you book, and your driver will have it before you land. Keep it handy for taxis later in your trip too.
Do you drive between Incheon and Gimpo airports?
Yes. Gimpo, for domestic flights to Jeju and Busan, is about 45 minutes from Incheon by car. Enter both airports in the quote form.
