Australia's big airports are close to their cities, but rarely right where you are staying. Sydney Airport is about 20 minutes from the Sydney CBD, yet you still have to get from the arrivals hall to a hotel in The Rocks or Darling Harbour. Melbourne Airport has no train, and the drive to the Melbourne CBD takes about 30 minutes on CityLink. From Brisbane Airport, most holidaymakers head 87 km south to the Gold Coast.
We run fixed-price private transfers on all three routes and quote any other address near these airports. Your driver tracks your flight, meets you inside the terminal with a name sign and drives the motorways with the tolls already paid. Driving, tolls and time zones
Australia drives on the left. The main motorways into Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane use cashless electronic tolls charged to the vehicle: the Eastern Distributor and WestConnex in Sydney, CityLink in Melbourne and the Gateway Motorway in Brisbane. Every toll on your route is included in our fixed price.
New South Wales and Victoria use daylight saving from the first Sunday in October to the first Sunday in April. Queensland does not, so in those months Brisbane and the Gold Coast are an hour behind Sydney and Melbourne. Check the time zone on any connecting tickets.
When to travel
The seasons are the reverse of Europe's and North America's: summer runs from December to February and winter from June to August. Summer and the school holidays are the busiest times on the Gold Coast.
Big events fill hotels and slow the roads: Melbourne Cup Day on Tuesday 3 November 2026, New Year's Eve on Sydney Harbour, the Australian Open in Melbourne from 11 to 31 January 2027, and Vivid Sydney from 28 May to 19 June 2027. Book your transfer when you book your flight for those dates.
Trains, buses or a private car
Sydney and Brisbane have airport trains: Airport Link reaches central Sydney in about 13 minutes, and Brisbane's Airtrain runs to the city in about 20 minutes and on to the Gold Coast. Melbourne relies on SkyBus to Southern Cross Station. These suit light travellers well. A private car makes more sense with luggage, children, a group or a late arrival, and it goes to your door.

Are motorway tolls included in Australian transfers?
Yes. Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane toll roads are cashless and charged electronically to the vehicle. Every toll on your route, along with fuel, parking and waiting time, is part of the fixed price you accept.
Where will my driver meet me at an Australian airport?
Inside the terminal, holding a sign with your name: at the official meeting point in Sydney, the chauffeur meeting point in Melbourne and the arrivals hall in Brisbane. You get the driver’s name and number before the trip.
Can you provide child seats?
Yes, on request. Tell us the ages of the children when you ask for a quote and the right seats are fitted before pickup.
