Private transfers across Vietnam

Central Vietnam's coast is one of the country's most popular regions, and most visitors fly into Da Nang International Airport. It sits in the middle of the city, a few minutes from the beaches, with Hoi An's Old Town about 30 km to the south and Hue about two hours north beyond the Hai Van Pass.

Taxis and ride-hailing cars are easy to find at Da Nang Airport. A pre-booked car makes sense when you land late, travel with children or golf bags, are heading to a villa down a lane in the rice fields, or want a driver who already knows how close a car can get to your hotel in Hoi An's pedestrian Old Town. Our Da Nang to Hoi An transfer takes about 45 minutes, with one fixed price for the whole vehicle.

Since July 2025, Hoi An and the former Quang Nam province have been part of an enlarged Da Nang city, so you may see both names on addresses.

Hoi An Old Town and getting around

Hoi An's Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999, is reserved for pedestrians and non-motorised vehicles for most of the day and evening, so cars stop at the edge. A ticket is needed to visit its historic houses, temples and assembly halls.

Vietnam drives on the right. Motorbikes make up most of the traffic, so local drivers keep a steady, careful pace in town.

Best time to travel

Central Vietnam is driest from about January to August, with February to April the driest months. The wet and typhoon season runs from September to December, and October is usually the wettest month, when heavy rain can flood low streets in Hoi An.

Tet, the Lunar New Year, falls on 6 February 2027. Hotels fill and some family businesses close for a few days, so book early.

About 40 to 45 minutes for the 30 km along the coast road, and up to 55 minutes in the late afternoon. See Da Nang to Hoi An.

Yes. Hue is about two hours north through the Hai Van tunnel. Enter your hotel in the quote form for a fixed price, with tolls included.
