Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) (KUL)
Sepang, near Kuala Lumpur
Private transfers across Malaysia
Most international visitors to Malaysia land at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, known as KLIA, in Sepang. It is a long way from the capital: about 58 km by road to the Petronas Twin Towers, and an hour or more in traffic, along toll expressways past Putrajaya and Cyberjaya.
The KLIA Ekspres train is quick to KL Sentral, and it is the right choice for many light travellers. A private transfer makes sense when you arrive with children, heavy luggage or a group, land late, or stay somewhere that is a change or two from the station. Our KLIA to KLCC transfer goes door to door, with one fixed price for the whole vehicle and every toll included.

Roads and tolls
Malaysia drives on the left. The main routes from KLIA to Kuala Lumpur, the Maju Expressway, the North–South Expressway and the ELITE highway, are all toll roads, and every toll is included in our prices. Kuala Lumpur's traffic is heaviest on weekday evenings and Friday afternoons, so we build that into the pickup times we suggest for your return flight.
Best time to travel
Kuala Lumpur is hot and humid all year, with rain in every month. On the west coast of the peninsula, October and November are usually the wettest months and February the driest, and downpours are often short and heavy.
The busiest travel periods are the Chinese New Year holidays, on 6 and 7 February 2027, and Hari Raya Aidilfitri at the end of Ramadan, expected around 10 March 2027, when many residents travel home and the highways out of the city fill.
Arriving in Malaysia
Most foreign visitors must complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) online before they arrive; check the Immigration Department website for the current rules. KLIA has two separate terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, linked by a 3-minute train, so check which one your airline uses.
