Private transfers across Egypt

Egypt's two great draws sit far apart: the pyramids and museums of Cairo, and the coral reefs and resorts of the Red Sea. Most trips start at one of three airports. Cairo International is on the opposite side of the city from Giza, a drive of about 45 minutes at night and well over an hour in daytime traffic. Hurghada Airport serves the mainland Red Sea coast, from El Gouna in the north to Makadi Bay and Soma Bay in the south. Sharm El Sheikh Airport sits at the southern tip of Sinai, 20 minutes from Naama Bay.

We run fixed-price transfers from Cairo to the Giza pyramids, from Hurghada to El Gouna and from Sharm El Sheikh to Naama Bay, and quote any other address, including city-to-city journeys. Your driver tracks your flight, waits as you come out of arrivals and loads the luggage once.

Visas and arriving

Many visitors, including UK passport holders, need a visa. You can apply in advance for an e-visa on Egypt's official portal, or buy a visa on arrival at the kiosks before passport control, paying in US dollars cash. Since 1 August 2026, Cairo International also sells digital visas on arrival, paid by card.

UK visitors flying into Sharm El Sheikh and staying under 15 days only in Sharm, Dahab, Nuweiba or Taba receive a free Sinai-only entry stamp instead. Your passport needs at least six months' validity from your arrival date. Other nationalities should check the rules for their passport before travelling.

When to go

Cairo and the Nile Valley are most comfortable from October to April: Cairo's average highs are about 19°C in January and 35°C in July. The Red Sea is a year-round destination, with Hurghada averaging about 22°C in January and 37°C in July, and the sea warm enough for swimming all year.

Ramadan is expected from about 8 February to 8 March 2027, depending on the moon. Opening hours at sights can change during the month, and driving can be erratic around dusk, as people head home to break the fast.

On the road

Traffic drives on the right. Cairo's traffic is famously heavy, and road accidents are common across Egypt, which is why many visitors prefer not to drive themselves. If you do, you need an International Driving Permit alongside your licence, and UK government advice is to avoid driving outside the main cities and resorts at night.

Police check ID regularly, so carry your passport, or a copy with your visa, on every journey. Your driver handles the route, the airport road tolls and the parking; all are included in the fixed price.

Egypt airport transfers: your questions

Which airports in Egypt do you cover?

Our fixed-price routes start at Cairo International, Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh. We also quote pickups at other Egyptian airports, such as Sphinx International west of Giza, and hotel-to-hotel journeys anywhere in the country.

Can you drive between Egyptian cities?

Yes. We quote city-to-city transfers such as Hurghada to Luxor, about four hours by road, or Cairo to Alexandria, about three. Enter both addresses in the quote form and add any stops you want on the way.

Do I need my passport during the transfer?

Keep it with you. Egyptian police check ID regularly, and the UK government advises carrying copies of your passport and visa, stored separately from the originals.

Are tolls and waiting time included?

Yes. Road tolls, fuel, parking and waiting time are included in your fixed price, and we track your flight, so delays cost nothing extra.

Travelling to Egypt? Book the ride before you fly.

One fixed price for your whole group, a driver tracking your flight, and no queue at the taxi rank.
